Did
you get a new computer this year? Would you like to get rid
of your old items? If so, consider gifting them to us (we can
also write a letter for tax purposes). Our school strives to
have technology available in every classroom and we are approaching
the 10 year-old-mark on many of our computer
towers. Help!!!
Here is what we need the
most:
Flat Screen Monitors (to replace the gigantic, old-fashioned, energy consumptive CRT's). Our teachers have cramped space in their classrooms and the school is trying to tidy up the budget, so if you have a more space and energy efficient flat screen monitor we'd really appreciate it! Computers (Minimum of
Pentium 4 processor, 512 RAM, less than approx 5 years old).
We have computers approaching 10 years old! We have upgraded
the RAM to the N-th degree and can't do much with the
processors! If you have an old computer that you are
replacing, consider donating it to our school.
Keyboards & Mice (We could always use upgrades of these as they are the most used and abused parts of a computer system). Please call for details. Johannah Franich (253) 272-2297, ext 2311 or jfranich@saintpats.org (you may also send me a message on the "contact us" page - that will email directly to me immediately). REGIFTING
couldn't be MORE FUN!!!
If you don't know what to do with your computers and CRT's and they are too old for us as well, consider donating it to Goodwill (they will recycle and reuse what they can, too). Kids At Hope (website) Kids At Hope is an innovative concept which states and demonstrates that all children are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS! Kids at Hope is not another program; it is first and foremost a belief system, supported by a cultural strategy and then enhanced by programs. Kids at Hope inspires, empowers, and transforms families, youth serving organizations (schools, parks and recreation departments, police and fire departments, etc.) and entire communities to create an environment where all children experience success, NO EXCEPTIONS! Let's introduce the culture of Kids At Hope to Saint Pats! You never know what we might find! |
