Hi! Welcome to the Lakeside
Middle School Counseling page. I'm Katy Olweiler, but most
students and families call me "Ms. O". I'm one
of the many adult resources here at school for
students.
During the first four to five weeks of the school year I meet
individually or in small groups with all new students. It's a
chance for me to learn names and faces, find out how
things are going, and for students to check out my office and
how I do things. Students see me on a
self-referral basis for a variety of topics; fitting in at a
new school, friendships, growing up questions, concerns about
school or family. Students also stop by during
frees and breaks to hang out and see the student photo
board. There are also weekly lunch groups (one for boys
and one for girls at each grade level) that students are welcome
to stop by during your lunch
period.
