Middle School Chinese

_{The Lakeside Middle School Chinese program offers a four-level course starting in the 5th grade. Students get advanced placement at the Upper School Chinese program after fulfilling all four levels of Mandarin A,B,C&D. Classes meet four times a week.  In class, students do many pair activities and speaking practices to enhance their communication skills. Students submit written and audio projects on Lakeside School Chinese website, Grouply Chinese Blog, VoiceThread and Lingt. Our students mainly use Simplified characters in their beginning years, and are exposed to Traditional characters at the advanced levels.  The program is both rigorous and fun.
