Integrating Technology in the
Middle School Classroom

picture1.jpg

Welcome to my website which is dedicated to the subject of integrating technology into our classrooms.  My goal for this website are to provide you with information, resources, documents, and other tips for a wide range of how technology can enhance our learning and teaching at Lakeside Middle School.

With my teaching responsibilities divided amongst students and adults at the Middle School, you, dear reader, will find a mixture of items on the resources linked along the left border of this page.

Since I must cover a wide range of subjects, the items featured on his, my home page, will shift from time to time.  At the moment, there are three areas where I'd like to focus my attention:

  • Atomic Learning
  • Tablet PC computers
  • Microsoft Office OneNote

Additional details follow below.  Thanks for visiting.  Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions....or both!  (click on Contact Me to the left.)

Thank you!

Atomic Learning
is an online resource for tutorials, workshops, and videos covering a wide spectrum of software and curricular ideas.

Students and teachers in the Lakeside community have access to a ton of tutorials that walk you through, step-by-step, many tasks, with clear "how to" tips.  Log on is automatic when accessed over our school network; we can provide Lakeside students and adults the username and password for access on outside networks.

Much more about Atomic Learning is available by going clicking on Document and/or Links to the left.

A growing number of Middle School faculty members have opted for Tablet PCs in our latest round of laptop upgrades.  I'm trying to gather a set of high-quality resources for our tablet users. Again, I suggest you check out Documents and Links pages (see to the left) for Tablet PC tips and other resources.

Microsoft Office OneNote is a program offering the advantages of notebooks with unlimited tabs for organizing information along with the ability to paste in nearly all types of digital information: images, e-mail, documents, multimedia.  With a few exceptions, we have only begun exploring how OneNote can be used in classes and in teaching.  But our initial impression is that this is a great program and well worth much exploration.  Some great resources on OneNote available by clicking on Links to the left.
