Tue: Students will finish Halloween song and play them and listen to spooky music.

Thur: Students will work on Orchestra march and playing multiple part music

Fri: Students will review correct bow technique while working on concert songs

Mon: Write down the proper name of 3 spooky sounds your instrument can make.

Tue: What are 3 important things to consider when composing music?

Wed: When should violin and viola players use 4th finger instead of an open string?

Thur: What is an “Orchestra Arrangement” in the string basics book?

Fri: Describe how to practice bowings. (Air bow, practice on open strings, and practice slowly,)

Tue: Describe the difference between melody and accompaniment.

Wed: What is a major scale?

Thur: Write down the notes and fingerings to the D major scale.

Wed: Students will learn the note B on the A string.

Thur: Students will learn the notes C# and High D on the A string.

Fri: Students will be tested on their ability to perform notes on the D and A string.

Tue: What does solo and tutti mean?

Thur: Students will review mixed finger patterns, relative minor scales, and intonation (sight read sonata vivant)

Fri: Students will be tested on their ability to perform the melody to Symphony in G.

Thur: Students will review unpacking procedures and basic posture.

Fri: Students will review basic posture and practice group pulse plucking open strings

Tue: Draw a whole note, a half note, and a quarter note.
